Introduction
“Yoga Therapy adapts the practice of yoga to the needs of people with specific or persistent health problems not usually addressed in a public class.” Larry PAYNE, PhD
The Center, founded by Carol Stahl, this area’s only Yoga Therapist, has been offering both public and private Yoga instruction, Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda Education and Services, Thai Yoga Massage, Reiki and various workshops and food classes in the Anniston area for more than twenty years.
Yoga is a cherished and valuable tradition that must be experienced to understand how it transforms your physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, leading to a balanced, serene individual. It is a complete fitness program using stretches to remove tension; breathing exercises to create body awareness; exercise positions to lengthen, strengthen and tone muscles and meditation to achieve inner peace.
Yoga classes are limited in size and held in a small intimate setting so that the needs of each individual are met. Each class is an educational experience, enabling each student to recognize their individual strengths as well as areas requiring special attention, in order to safely facilitate their home practice and prevent injury.
