Perfect for beginning students, whether you have never taken a class or have tried a few and would like a better understanding of the fundamentals. During this six-week course we will discuss the following:
- Types of Yoga/Yoga Philosophies
- Breathwork — How the Breath Affects Your Practice
- How Yoga Affects Each System of Your Body
- How Yoga Reflects in All Aspects of Life
Students will also learn body awareness through basic principles of alignment in stretching, strengthening and balancing postures as well as relaxation techniques and will leave the series feeling more comfortable joining regular classes, as well as having learned the fundamentals of building a home practice.
